CARBON FOOTPRINT?

Ever heard of CARBON FOOTPRINT?
A carbon footprint is the measure of greenhouse gas emissions causes by an individual or organization. These emissions are a direct cause of global climate change. It's like; the more you travel or the further the things that you buy have travelled before they reach you, the more it is the emission of gas.

Easy ways to reduce your carbon footprint
Buy local
Buy local products rather than buying things that have been traveling so far around the globe and caused the emission of big amount of GHG on transportation.
Utilize trip linking
Plan car trips better to avoid spontaneous single trips and plan errand routes to minimize mileage. Do your weekly shopping in a multi-stop destination, park your car between them and walk.
Slow down
Reduce driving speeds from 80 to 70kmh at least.
Reduce plastic bag usage
Bring reusable bags wherever you shop. Reduce your habits to 'tapau' or take-away foods. Also choose products with less plastic packaging.
Say NO to styrofoam
If it's sold in styrofoam, just don't buy it. Styrofoam isn't recycled and it never biodegrades. Don't 'tapau' la.
Sell used/old/recyclable items on eBay and get RICh! haha
...rather than throwing away things that may be useful to others.
Use less paper
The third largest industrial emitter of global warming pollution is the pulp and paper industry. Choose paper products that are more eco-friendly. Practise double-sided printing. Recycle paper as scrap paper. Choose to buy ebooks.
Conserve electricity

Items left on standby can use up to 85% of the energy they would use if fully switched on. Turn them off at the wall.
Take your phone charger out of the wall. It uses energy even when it’s not
charging your phone. When using a washing machine ensure there is a full load and use cold water. I don’t use a washing machine! Heheh Reduce usage of hairdryer. Use
your towel instead. At work, turn off your computer monitor at the end of the day.
Eat Less Meat
Especially beef. Growing numbers of intensively farmed livestock
are responsible for some global greenhouse gas like methane and nitrous oxide
gases, which are another powerful greenhouse gas, coming from manure.
